HELLO ANGELS!

I hope that you all enjoyed your holiday, and find yourselves relaxed and well rested. This weekend is going to be a busy one, but the more work we do, the more we will be helping The Valley’s elders and youth—so let’s start this weekend off strong! Below you will find the events going on with Project AngelFaces on November 6th and 7th.

Saturday, November 6: Green Tech Festival @ CSN Charleston

The College of Southern Nevada is hosting their CSN Green Tech Festival, and Project AngelFaces will be lucky enough to to present on a panel! The CSN event will take place from 9 am-4 pm at the Charleston Campus of CSN in building K. The panel AngelFaces is on, “Green Living and Everyday Life,” will be from 9 am to 11 am. Come out to see us and learn more ways to be green!

Sunday, November 7: Fruit Harvest

Project AngelFaces will be hosting yet another Neighborhood Fruit Harvest! We will start our harvest party at 9 am near the 95 and the 215, in the far northwest side of town, harvesting pomegranates. After that we will harvest Fuji apples near the 215 and LoneMountain.  The last property that we will harvest, pomegranates,  is around the Sahara and Maryland part of town. Please come out and help us harvest! Children over the age of 8 are welcome, so bring the kids along for a day of fun outdoors! RSVP for specific addresses to harvest sites, and please wear long sleeves.

Sunday, November 7: Composting for Silverman Triathalon

For this event, I will need 5-10 of you strong Angels (with no physical inhibitions) to help provide compost services to the Silverman Triathlon. Volunteers need to arrive at 5 pm at the Henderson Pavillion on Green Valley Parkway at Paseo Verde to assist in loading the compost collection bins into our truck. From there, 3 volunteers are needed to travel across the valley with me to New Vista Ranch to help with the unload. From load up to unload should take about one hour. We will wrap up by sundown.

Thanks in advance, Angels! If you have any questions or would like to help out at one of these events, feel free to contact me via phone or email. I’ll be looking forward to seeing you all!

Light and gratitude
