Come Celebrate the change in seasons with the Host of Angels and Mason brethren from Jack Hayward Lodge #6!

Come build a new Community Support Garden of Project AngelFaces in Henderson

this Sunday 18 September 2011, from 7:30 am to 11:30 am.

We are putting donations of repurposed materials to use to create some natural wind block for our first 1000 square feet on this total of 4 acres of incredible Community Support Garden! It is a very big, very exciting opportunity to create an avenue for our elders and to share time with one another, share their strengths, and do something great for our community.

This is one amazing garden program that many in the community are engaged in building, and we hope you’ll join us in this fine, fun work. Sunday 18 September 2011 from 7:30 am to 11:30 am. Please RSVP for the specific address and directions.

Our main tasks for the day are going to be to build pallet garden beds and secure them to the perimeter fencing, attaching gopher proofing to the beds we’ve built, complete construction on the wrought iron flower beds, taking stock of the seedling nursery, and planning the next event’s task of installing a gate to the compost area of the property. We will also be watering the compost, using rainwater that I collected for the task, thanks to the sweet recent rains we’ve had. Please wear and bring protection from the elements: long pants, closed toed shoes, sun hat, handerchief, sunglasses, sunscreen, water bottle.

Please bring power tools like drills and saws, if you have them. We will provide water and snacks. Please let me know that you’re coming, and tell all your friends! I look forward to seeing you there!

Limited carpool available from Green Valley, please call 702.460.9261. Thank you for your generosity of time, talent, and efforts to ‘Get Involved with Project AngelFaces, and Cultivate Hope for the Future‘ (TM)
